Plaid Cymru is the political party for people who want to see Wales succeed. We’re the only party that’s based in Wales and will always prioritise the interests of her people. Our members are the beating heart of the party, responsible for setting the party’s direction and fulfilling our mission. Here you can find useful information if you’re thinking about joining.
Why should I join?
Plaid Cymru is working to build a prosperous, socially just Wales where everyone can fulfill their ambitions. If you agree with our vision you can join up and be part of an united team that’s working to move Wales forward.
Members vote on the party’s policies during our Annual Conference, which takes place in October and play a part in turning our vision into reality on the campaign trail.
Members who want to take a more direct or visible role can stand for election for internal posts and stand for election for Assembly, Westminster and council elections.

How much is it and where does my money go?
Standard membership starts from £2 a month.
Unlike the big British parties, we don’t rely on a small number of hugely wealthy donors. We rely on funds from our members and your membership fee will go towards ensuring that the party’s message is heard and winning elections. This money is vital for ensuring Wales’s interests are represented at all levels of government.
